Camera Shots And Angles

Video 1: This is an establishing shot. In this short video, the film is taken from a high shot and it captures the plants and sky which establishes the setting. This was a very simple shot to take but it was good at establishing the scenery.  



Video 2: This is a close-up shot. It shows the shoulders and face of the subject of the video. This video was a simple shot to take, however, it was somewhat difficult being you had to stabilize the phone and ensure the take was not shaky. 
Video 3: This is an extreme close-up shot. This video is zoomed-in and magnifies the emotion in the person's eyes. This would be a good shot to take for an emotional scene in a film. It was a little difficult to take this video since it was hard to stabilize the phone. 
Video 4: This video is a close-up shot. It shows specific parts of the plant and the overall picture. However, it is not close enough to be considered an extreme close-up shot. This shot was a pretty simple shot to shoot.


Video 5: This is a low-angle shot, it is looking up at the subjects. It has a view looking up at the subject, this view could be used for the point of view of a smaller person or animal. This shot was a little difficult to take being that it was not taken at eye level.

    The Establishing shot was really good as it captured the scenery perfectly from a high angle. This gave the viewer a sense of wonder as they viewed the setting. In addition, the low angle shot was also really good as it captured the amount of people and shows that you are just one small person in thr crowd creating a sense of vulnerability.

Group Dynamics      Almost at the end! But not quite… my area of work and focus is really just getting started! I loved this project, because Aden and I split the work evenly, in my opinion! My partner Aden Mangones did the majority of the directing and planning out the film! But for the particular details of our film Aden included detailed mis en scene and creating intricate shots. We both knew he was the more intricate one which he used for his directing role. I did the acting as the main character, and he had a role as the killer's hand. When we began planning, we brainstormed and planned the story together. He even came up with the title sequence!
