Transitions

Image
These shots and transitions were very interesting to create and choose. The use of transitions provided an underlying theme that film wouldn’t otherwise have. The transitions I used included were screen wipe, iris wipe, and dissolve. The experience of filming and creating these shots was definitely a learning process that took advantage of creativity of what transitions would look best for these clips.  I tried to use the different shots to tell a story to the viewer and what would look best to the viewer. These filming transitions used contributed to how it appeared to the viewer. Overall, the experience was insightful, engaging, and informative.

Guardians of the Galaxy

In this first shot, the high angle shot creates emphasis on the strong emotion that Peter is feeling at this moment. The angle shows Peter feeling small and scared of what is above him in this green field. As well, the extreme colors and light occurring in this high-angle shot provide movement in the shot that is interesting to the viewer. The high angle also implies that he is not alone in the scene and that whatever is above him is of greater power. The extreme colors also represent the extreme feelings that are being felt by Peter in this scene.      I viewed both Aden Mangones and Isabella Collazo, both videographers completed the project well by properly presenting the different angles and conveying the proper emotions. To begin, Aden Mangones took an establishing shot overlooking the garden, this video was taken well and the video was stable. As well as, a lower angle which displayed someone walking down the stairs in a cut scene.      In addition, Isabella Collazo used a Dutch angle to make the viewer feel disorientated while watching the film. Another angle she took was a point of view shot, this shot displayed to the viewer what was occurring in the scene. This point of view shot was effective in making the reader feel what they were feeling well completing the task. Overall, both projects were done well and the created films provided the proper emotions for the viewer to feel.
