Mean Girls Mood Board

       The mood board gave the setting and costume directors an idea of what is needed to create the themes and ideas throughout the movie. This includes the pink costumes. The Christmas talent show costumes, the scenery, the looks of each character was planned through the mood board. This gives the film directors option to change the looks of a movie before physically it is created for the movie.

    The mean girls movie is based of a teen comedy genre. The make up of the mean girls setting and cast had extremely specific colors. Attention to detail in this movie including the blonde wig that the main meal girl, Regina, wears throughout the movie. As well as, the switch in style for Cady Heron was planned as her character developed through the movie. The attention to these specific details brought the plot into the setting and scenery of the movie. The theme to "be yourself" was shown when Cady went through the whole movie using outfit that were not her style. The planning and placement of these details were essential and shown through this mood board.

Group Dynamics      Almost at the end! But not quite… my area of work and focus is really just getting started! I loved this project, because Aden and I split the work evenly, in my opinion! My partner Aden Mangones did the majority of the directing and planning out the film! But for the particular details of our film Aden included detailed mis en scene and creating intricate shots. We both knew he was the more intricate one which he used for his directing role. I did the acting as the main character, and he had a role as the killer's hand. When we began planning, we brainstormed and planned the story together. He even came up with the title sequence!
