The problems with our editing software…

 EDITING SOFTWARE UPDATE

Previously, we have mentioned our editing software being HitFilm. This proved to be a MASSIVE set back…As we worked on editing the film we ran into major issues with this software. For starters, the program was not user-friendly in my opinion it was complicating the entire process with its slow software. On top of that, half of the options that weren’t even offered in the free version as they said it would be. I even had to pay 99 cents to use one of our higher quality insert shots. For these reasons… we SWITCHED softwares.

I know what you are thinking WOAH it’s a little too late for that. But it really wasn’t. After weighing the positives and negatives of switching our softwares Aden had pointed out it was very clear we were causing headache where it could easily be avoided. SO… we are using cap cut!! This software is much faster and easier to use the Hit-film. I had been able to negate half of my work time consumed by the software and was able to begin piecing together the film much faster. I really liked the way cap cut provides copyright free music and transitions to smoothly edit my piece all in one place. Which is why we are switching up our original soundtrack to this film then it had been planned! Cap Cut also has an extremely simple layout to follow that definitely assists with focusing on the editing process. In my opinion, it was a necessary and smart choice to switch our software for this film. And I am thrilled we did!
